MC Joshy Josh will be putting up the new site today. Due to that simple fact, I'll be brief and let him handle the intros.

This new site is the tip of the iceberg. We're in the process of cranking up the Marketing and PR machine to really get the word out there for Torment. From the art end, you'll probably be seeing an increase in the flow of screenshots (and maybe movies?!?!?) over the next few months. (Check out the screenshot sections, we got piccy's for you.)

And now, for a special treat, let me introduce Josh Sawyer who will hop around excitedly as he introduces the inner workings of our new site.

Well, what can I say? I graduated from college with my history degree and flew out to to California to make the webpagey internet fun for Torment. Here we are.

But enough about me. The site is what's really exciting. Greg, Guido, Tim, Colin, Dan, I, and many other people came together to make what we hope is an informative, exciting site for this game. As you will soon discover by clicking on one of the two links above, the site now has two versions -- one with Shockwave enhancements, one without. Just in case there are any doubts, I'll answer two very common questions:

1) Yes, the Shockwave content is BIG and can take a while to download -- so this is a warning.

2) Yes, the Shockwave content is, in my not-so-humble opinion, cool.

Don't fret, though -- the non-shocked version has all of the exact same content as the Shocked version because we feel that people with slower connections should have access to all the same game information and goodies that crazy rocket scientists on LANs do. When updates go up, they will go up on both versions.

The site itself is divided into seven primary areas: the Factions, the Lady of Pain (FAQ), the Dustman Bar (message boards), the Great Foundry (downloads and screenshots), the Mortuary (news and graphics archives), the Civic Festhall (contests, surveys, and promotions), and Planar Portals (resource links). All of the old content is still present, of course, along with some new surprises. Explore it all. Start clicking on everything. If you find anything wrong, let me know and I'll fix it in a jiffy. Despite the fact that lots o' folks at Black Isle, Interplay, and TSR have agonized over every detail on this site, I know that we can't catch the things in a month that hordes of ravenous end users will find in ten minutes.

I extend my thanks to Greg, Interplay, and Black Isle for giving me a shot at this gamey web thing and my thanks to the PS:T extended community. You all have made my frequent visits to the message boards both smooth and, most importantly, fun.
