We have finally been able to wrap up our presentation demo for the upcoming E3 show. It has taken a little longer than expected, but we now have a really good looking version of the game that should give people a generally good impression of what the game will look, feel and play like. Some changes in the user interface have occurred, as more of the temporary artwork has been replaced with final art. Here are two screenshots for you to see what has changed. Check out the small icons at the bottom of the screen, and the overall look of the item description box.

We are now starting to submit versions of "Torment" to our QA (Quality Assurance) department to have them playtest the game and report problems and bugs to us. It will help us making the entire game tighter and fluff out certain areas and aspects we might have overlooked in the frenzy. Unbiased as they are, our playtesters will not only check whether the program is running correctly on their machines, but also try to catch logical errors and inconsistencies in the presentation and the story. Let's see how long - or short - it will take them to come back to us and point their fingers at the first real flaws in our game.

We have also finished the new video for E3. It is to a large extent identical with the previous one you can find on the Baldur's Gate discs, but we have now stripped in footage of actual gameplay in the game. Of course we will check to see if we can create an AVI version for you and post it here on these pages. I can't promise you exactly when we'll be able to post it, but as soon as I know more, I'll let you know.

For now, we'll have to reorganize and get back to work on the actual product as opposed to the presentation demo and in order to do just that, I gotta go!
